Ingredients

  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni in boiling water according to package directions.
  2. Drain and set aside.
  3. Saute ground beef, diced onions, and chopped garlic in oil until the meat loses its pink color and onions are tender.
  4. Add pepper, tomato sauce, drained mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning to the meat mixture.
  5. Bring to a boil and simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  6. Mix in the cooked macaroni and simmer for about 5 minutes more.
