Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 cups dried celery
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 18 cups white bread, cubed (36 slices)
  • 1/4 cup minced parsley
  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. In a 5 to 8 quart saucepan, cook onion and celery in butter over medium heat until tender, about 8 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat; add bread and remaining ingredients.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Stuff 12 to 16 pound turkey or put stuffing in 9 x 13-inch pan covered with foil.
  5. Bake in 325°F oven for 45 minutes.
