Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 4 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Stir together flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, honey, butter, white sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until smooth.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples and raisins.
  5. Pour the batter into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  6. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top of the batter.
  7. Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
