Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground venison
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground pork
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • flour
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 (4 1/2 oz.) jars sliced mushrooms, drained

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground venison, ground pork, beaten egg, milk, bread crumbs, chopped onion, dried parsley, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into 10 patties.
  4. Thoroughly coat each patty with flour.
  5. Heat 1/3 cup of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add the patties and brown them on both sides.
  7. Transfer the browned patties to a greased roasting pan.
  8. Place sliced onion and drained mushrooms over the meat patties.
