Tips & Substitutions

For best results, use high-quality canned salmon and adjust the flavors according to your taste. You can substitute the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter version. If you want to add a bit of heat, consider mixing in some diced jalapeños. This mousse can also be made a day ahead, which enhances the flavors, similar to how flavors meld in dishes like Aunt Ella'S Shrimp Salad.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the salmon mousse on a platter garnished with parsley for a festive touch. It pairs well with crackers, cucumber slices, or toasted baguette slices. For a complete spread, consider offering it alongside other appetizers like Betty'S Crab Dip or smoked salmon. This dish is perfect for parties and receptions, making it a delightful addition to any seafood recipes collection.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover salmon mousse in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. It’s best served chilled, so allow it to sit in the fridge for at least an hour before serving again. Avoid reheating, as this dish is meant to be enjoyed cold.
