Sukujaki

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup tamari ⓘ
- 1 cup water ⓘ
- 3 minced scallions ⓘ
- 1 large garlic clove, sliced ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon vinegar ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon honey ⓘ
- 1 to 2 tablespoons sherry (optional) ⓘ
- 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed ⓘ
- 1 stalk celery ⓘ
- 1 large carrot, sliced
- 1 large green pepper, chopped ⓘ
- 1/3 pound green beans or 1 can beans, drained ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine tamari, water, minced scallions, sliced garlic, vinegar, honey, and sherry (if using) in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add green beans or drained canned beans to the sauce and cook for a few more minutes.
- Serve the mixture over rice with cooked, cubed chicken and chopped vegetables.
