Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef, chili grind
  • 3 Tbsp. meat drippings
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 2 cans Spanish tomato paste
  • 2 cans water
  • 1 pkg. noodles, cooked
  • ripe olives
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Saute the ground beef in a skillet until browned.
  2. Remove the beef from the skillet and drain well.
  3. Saute onions, green peppers, and garlic in the same drippings until tender.
  4. Mix the sautéed vegetables with the cooked beef.
  5. Add Spanish tomato paste, water, and drained mushrooms to the mixture.
  6. Stir in cooked noodles and chopped ripe olives.
  7. Layer with grated Cheddar cheese and bake until bubbly and cheese is melted.
