- In a large bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, margarine, egg, vanilla, Rice Krispies, coconut, and oats.
- Sift together salt, flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar in a separate bowl.
- Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture and mix well.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350°F.
