Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a 3-quart pan, cook carrots and onions in margarine until the onion is soft, but not brown.
  2. Blend in the flour.
  3. Add milk and chicken broth; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Stir in tuna, celery seed, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
  5. Heat through.
  6. Just before serving, add shredded cheese and stir until melted.
