Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard or turmeric
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 to 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • sprinkle of pepper

Instructions

  1. Shake together salt, dry mustard or turmeric, oil, vinegar, sugar, and pepper in a container.
  2. Pour the dressing over the chopped vegetables.
  3. Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Keeps about 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
