Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 carrots
  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 small can whole kernel corn
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 2 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. marjoram

Instructions

  1. Place the stew meat in the crock-pot.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and black pepper, then pour over the meat; stir to coat evenly.
  3. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, sliced carrots, diced potatoes, whole kernel corn, chopped celery, chopped onions, minced garlic, paprika, Kitchen Bouquet (if using), basil, bay leaf, thyme, and marjoram.
  4. Stir all ingredients well to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours.
  6. Stir the stew thoroughly before serving.
