Buffet Casserole
A hearty, cheesy casserole combining ground beef, spinach, and pasta in a flavorful tomato sauce, perfect for family dinners and potlucks.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, chopped ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil ⓘ
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach ⓘ
- 1 lb. spaghetti sauce with mushrooms ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper ⓘ
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. shell macaroni, cooked ⓘ
- 4 oz. sharp process American cheese, shredded ⓘ
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs ⓘ
- 2 well-beaten eggs
Instructions
- Brown beef, onion, and garlic in 1 tablespoon of salad oil.
- Cook spinach and drain, reserving the liquid.
- Add water to make 1 cup, then stir the liquid, tomato sauce with mushrooms, tomato paste, salt, and pepper into the meat mixture and simmer for 10 minutes.
