Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter flavor Crisco
  • 2 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can salted Deluxe mixed nuts
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
  • 2 cups corn flakes
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cream together 1 1/2 cups butter-flavored Crisco, 2 1/2 cups light brown sugar, 2 eggs, and 2 tablespoons vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda, a pinch of nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in 2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal, 2 cups corn flakes, 1 cup shredded coconut, 1 cup chopped nuts, and 2 cups chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until just firm and lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool slightly before removing from baking sheets.
