Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 4 tablespoons bacon fat
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • butter
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 2 cups corn
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • grated cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2/3 cup green beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion and diced celery in bacon fat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add corn and green beans; cook slowly for 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour, salt, and paprika; blend well and stir in milk and beaten eggs.
  4. Pour mixture into a shallow baking dish.
  5. Top with grated cheese and breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
