Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground cooked ham
  • 1/2 lb. ground fresh pork
  • 6 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup raisin bran flakes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • Dash salt
  • Dash pepper
  • Dash thyme
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly mix ground cooked ham, ground fresh pork, evaporated milk, raisin bran flakes, egg, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Shape the mixture into 8 to 10 balls, using about 1/4 cup of mixture for each.
  3. Place the balls in an 11x7x1 1/2 inch baking pan.
  4. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, vinegar, and dry mustard; bring to a boil.
  6. Pour the glaze over the ham balls and bake for an additional 20 minutes, basting once or twice with the sauce.
