Ingredients
- 1/3 cup peanut butter ⓘ
- 1/3 cup margarine ⓘ
- 1/2 cup honey ⓘ
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 1/4 cup brown sugar ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ⓘ
- 2/3 cup whole wheat flour ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 1/2 cup nonfat powdered milk
- 1/2 cup wheat germ ⓘ
- 1 cup quick oats ⓘ
- 1 cup raisins ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup coconut ⓘ
- 1/2 cup carob chips ⓘ
Instructions
- Cream the margarine, peanut butter, brown sugar, honey, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, powdered milk, wheat germ, and oats; add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in the raisins, chopped nuts, coconut, and carob chips.
- Press the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten the balls slightly and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
