- Mix the flours, wheat germ, soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mash the bananas and add lemon juice.
- In a large bowl, mix honey and oil, then add eggs and beat well.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to the honey mixture, mixing after each addition.
- Fold in the mashed bananas, raisins, dates, and chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter into two greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing.
