Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Tabasco sauce to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • mustard to taste
  • pinch of brown sugar
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced olives
  • 1 large package wide noodles

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, chopped onion, chopped celery, and chopped green pepper until tender, but not browned.
  2. Add canned tomatoes and tomato soup to the beef mixture.
  3. Cook the mixture for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and a pinch of brown sugar.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms and sliced olives before removing from heat.
  6. Combine the cooked mixture with wide noodles and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish.
  8. Top with cheese.
  9. Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.
