Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef with chopped onion, egg, milk, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, and oregano.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Brown the meatballs in oil in a skillet.
  4. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  5. In a bowl, mix tomato paste, water, brown sugar, and salt.
  6. Add the sauce to the skillet with meatballs.
  7. Simmer, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Stir in macaroni and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.
