Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 Tbsp chopped celery leaves
  • 2 Tbsp chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp chopped green pepper
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 2 Tbsp chopped mushrooms (optional)
  • 3 (6 1/2 oz) cans minced clams
  • 3/4 cup plain bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Saute butter, chopped celery leaves, chopped celery, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, pepper, mustard, and optional chopped mushrooms.
  2. Drain the clams, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid.
  3. Simmer the reserved clam liquid and clams for 5 minutes.
  4. Combine the cooked clams and liquid with the sautéed mixture.
  5. Add bread crumbs and blend well before serving.
