Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup rice krispies
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Melt the butterscotch chips and peanut butter over low heat.
  2. Stir until blended and remove from heat.
  3. Pour over 4 cups of rice krispies and stir until coated.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a pan.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips, butter, and water in a double boiler.
  6. Stir until the chocolate mixture is well blended.
  7. Pour this over the chilled cereal mixture in the pan.
  8. Spread the remaining cereal mixture over the top.
