Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 large jar sauerkraut
  • 1 lb. smoked sausage
  • tomato juice

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, rice, chopped onion, salt, and pepper together like meatloaf.
  2. Core and parboil the cabbage to loosen the leaves.
  3. Place a portion of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf.
  4. Roll the cabbage leaf around the filling.
