Sausage Soup Micaele

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped carrots ⓘ
- 1/2 cup minced celery ⓘ
- 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter ⓘ
- 3 cups leeks, cut into 1/2 inch pieces ⓘ
- 2 cups shredded cabbage ⓘ
- 2 quarts chicken stock ⓘ
- 5 tablespoons flour ⓘ
- 2 cups potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch cubes ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram ⓘ
- 2 cups Polish kielbasa, skinned and thinly sliced ⓘ
- salt and pepper to taste ⓘ
- minced parsley, garnish ⓘ
- minced fresh dill, garnish ⓘ
Instructions
- In a large kettle or Dutch oven, sauté carrots and celery in 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter until vegetables are softened.
- Add leeks and cabbage and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Stir in chicken stock, bring to a boil, and simmer for 15 minutes.
