Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Stir together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Combine the beaten egg, milk, and cooking oil in a separate bowl.
  3. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Stir in the raisins.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped nuts, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, softened butter, and cinnamon to make the streusel topping.
  7. Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the batter.
