Tofuburgers
Savory tofu burgers combining wholesome grains, vegetables, and herbs for a satisfying vegetarian option perfect for casual meals or outdoor grilling.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup bulghur ⓘ
- 1 cup water ⓘ
- 1/2 pound tofu ⓘ
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 1 1/4 cups flour ⓘ
- 1 small onion ⓘ
- 1 carrot ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic ⓘ
- 1 celery sleeve ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon basil ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder ⓘ
- dash of pepper ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 1/3 cup oats ⓘ
- 1/4 cup sesame seed
- 1/3 cup TVP ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Cook bulghur in water until tender, then drain and set aside.
- Rinse and dry tofu, then crumble into a mixing bowl.
- Add beaten egg, cooked bulghur, flour, oats, sesame seed, TVP (if using), chopped onion, grated carrot, minced garlic, and chopped celery.
- Stir in basil, oregano, garlic powder, pepper, and Parmesan cheese (if using).
- Mix until well combined and form into burger patties.
- Place patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
