Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 envelope onion soup mix
  • 2 c. diced cooked turkey
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts
  • chow mein noodles

Instructions

  1. Heat margarine in a large frying pan.
  2. Saute green pepper and celery for 2 minutes.
  3. Add chicken broth to the pan.
  4. Blend cornstarch with cold water and soy sauce.
  5. Gradually stir the cornstarch mixture into the broth.
  6. Add onion soup mix and cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  7. Add diced cooked turkey, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and bean sprouts.
  8. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
