Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. ground red chilies
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 1 c. chopped tomato
  • 8 flour tortillas (10-inch), warmed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, softened

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir ground beef, onion, and garlic in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat until beef is brown; drain.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients, except tortillas, egg, and margarine.
  3. Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
