Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in hot oil in a skillet and discard excess fat.
  2. Put the remaining ingredients into a slow cooker.
  3. Add the cooked meat to the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Spoon the mixture into warm hamburger buns or serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
