Beery Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 1 tsp beef bouillon ⓘ
- 1/4 cup flour ⓘ
- 1 tsp salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp pepper ⓘ
- 2 lb stew meat ⓘ
- 1/2 cup olive oil ⓘ
- 2 lb onion
- 1 clove garlic ⓘ
- 1 giant sized can beer ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp steak sauce ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp crumbled bay leaves ⓘ
- 1 tsp dried thyme ⓘ
- 2 lb potatoes ⓘ
- 4 medium carrots ⓘ
- boiling water ⓘ
- parsley ⓘ
Instructions
- Coat the cubed meat in flour mixed with salt, pepper, and beef bouillon; set aside.
- In a large pot, heat 1/4 cup of olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Remove the onion and garlic from the pot; add the remaining oil and brown the floured meat on all sides.
- Return the onion and garlic to the pot, add the beer, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, bay leaves, and thyme.
- Mix well and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours until the meat is tender.
- Add the potatoes and carrots during the last part of cooking if desired, and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
