- 2 cups tomato juice ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet ⓘ
- 1 cup hot water ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped celery ⓘ
Instructions
- Soften bread slices in hot milk and then add the beaten egg.
- Mix ground beef and ground pork together.
- Add grated onion, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture.
- Combine the bread mixture with the meat mixture and form into balls. Roll the balls in flour.
- Brown the meatballs in fat until evenly cooked and browned.
- Add tomato juice and Kitchen Bouquet to the skillet with meatballs.
- Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
- Add hot water, chopped carrots, and chopped celery. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add peas and cook until peas are hot through.
