Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed ⓘ
- 1 onion, chopped ⓘ
- 1 cup celery, chopped ⓘ
- 1 cup carrots, chopped ⓘ
- 14 1/2 oz can chicken broth ⓘ
- 1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced ⓘ
- 1 1/4 tsp salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp dried marjoram ⓘ
- 2 cups light cream ⓘ
- 1 cup milk ⓘ
- 1/4 cup butter ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp flour ⓘ
- 16 1/2 oz can cream-style corn ⓘ
- 16 oz can salmon, drained, boned, and flaked ⓘ
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine the potatoes, onion, celery, chicken broth, garlic, salt, and marjoram.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in light cream, milk, and butter (substituting milk for cream).
- Combine flour and cream-style corn and stir into the soup.
- Heat, but do not boil, just until thickened.
- Gently stir in the drained, boned, and flaked salmon and heat through.
