Ingredients

  • 1/4 small onion, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. green pepper, dry
  • 1 Tbsp. celery, dry
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. chives
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups crab
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, minced
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 small can mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Saute onion, green pepper, celery, butter, parsley, garlic powder, chives, dry mustard, ginger, and cinnamon in a 3-quart saucepan.
  2. Add flour, condensed milk, water, crab, eggs, paprika, salt, pepper, and mushrooms to the sauteed mixture.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes or until bubbly.
  4. Add soda cracker crumbs.
  5. Turn the mixture into a buttered rectangle baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 25 minutes.
